Yesterday was a very great weekend in October for me. You know what? Because it was the first time I walked on a catwalk. Right! I took place in an event which name is “Gelar Budaya Indonesia Persembahan Terbaik Untuk Bangasa” or in English it called Indonesian Cultural Show the Best dedication for Nation.
And this is the rundown of that event. It started at 8 o’clock in the morning. For the first activity there was an onthel carnival. Onthel is an ancient bicycle and nowadays this bicycle became popular because so many communities especially in Tegal popularize this bicycle behind the global warming issue and healthy life style. Oh, by the way I have one in my home, it’s belong to my grandpa. But I don’t even ride it. I should try to ride it someday.
Back to the rundown next activity was the sound check. Next was rolling sponsor advertisement and opening. And then a singer performed. After this, there was traditional dance performance from Sanggar Perwitasari Tegal and talk show with the traditional dancer, onthel community and photographer community.

1 pm it was break time, I had Mie Ayam Pasar Baru (Chicken Noodle) for lunch. After lunch I went up the stage again for closing. The show was end at 3 pm.

Well, maybe you become curious now why I can join that event. To answer your curiosity here we go. For about two weeks ago my friend informed me there will be a batik fashion show in Rita Super Mall to celebrate batik international day. And he said that everyone can participate in that event however he/she is not a professional model. To clarify that information I went to Rita Super Mall and asked to the information center. I got really upset because the information was incorrect. The man from information center felt sorry for me as well, and he gave information about this Cultural Show. This was the beginning why I could take part at the Indonesian Cultural Show.
After those activities, it was time for the Batik carnival. At the beginning I walked from the official place to the stage, and we went down stage to walk around the mall. My picture was taken by the photographer. I felt like I was a queen even there was 5 models beside me. And there was a photo session, where the visitors of Rita Super Mall were allowed to take pictures with the models.
